Hi, my name is Dan.
I come from the warm city of Hermosillo, México. I've been living in Vancouver, BC for almost a year. I've had experiences fullfilling roles as a Gameplay Engineer, Systems Engineer, Game Designer and Level Designer. I grew up playing games, so I've always been very self-driven and motivated by my passion for them.

Super Neon Colosseum

I designed a system for a suspended hovercraft vehicle. I also had the task of designing the health, energy and weapon systems while working very closely with programmers and artists to ensure their work was not deviating from the core pillars and vision of the game.

Designed and scripted level design tools. Worked closely with environment artist to create a polished feedback system. Implemented a modular form-changing system which let the team to rapidly iterate through ideas, feedback and last minute changes.

Paper Game Design Workshop
The first half of the workshop focused on game design theory and the MDA (Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics) Framework. The second half aimed towards hands on experimentation. Overall positive feedback was received! I had the pleasure of helping 20 attendees create a total of 5 unique games.
